LIFE+ Desmania present the initial progress of the project
Thu, 14/03/13
The management committee for the LIFE+ Desmania Project recently held a meeting at the headquarters of the Fundación Biodiversidad to assess the initial progress of the Programme for the conservation and recovery of Galemys pyrenaicus and its habitat in Castile and Leon, and Extremadura.
During these first few steps in undertaking the project, the grounds have been established for its proper management by setting up a committee to coordinate all the activities envisaged on the basis of the programme’s principles.
Likewise, a website and correct strategy for communication and awareness-raising, to let people know about the species, were two further points that have seen progress.
